Have you ever been cruising through a book, only to find that your mind has wandered off to who knows where and you have to flip back a few pages to find the point where you stopped paying attention?
Ok. I lied. It's a problem. Some days more than others.
I might have a solution for you.
It has made a significant positive impact on my focus while reading.
I initially opted for a random instrumental music station on Pandora, but almost immediately found myself singing along to House of the Rising Sun, even though the music had no words.
After turning back a few pages...again...and switching to classical music in my earbuds, I haven't looked back.
I don't need it all the time, but when my mind starts to wander, classical music is the cure.
Try it out.
