The Weight of the World Is Not Yours to Bear

Matthew 11:28-30 -
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
The weight of the world is heavy. The enemy wants to see us overwhelmed and struggling to find peace within ourselves. He wants to distract us from turning to our Heavenly Father. Fortunately, with Christ, you don't have to carry the burdens of life alone. He will carry them for you.
None of us would choose to carry around a backpack full of bricks around everywhere we go, unless, of course, it was part of some sort of unconventional exercise routine. But for whatever reason, it's hard to put our figurative bricks down.
In Greek mythology, Atlas was condemned by Zeus to an eternity of holding up the heavens on his shoulders. As Christians, that is not our burden to bear.
Surrender that weight to our Creator. He has a plan and a purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11), and He is begging us to let Him carry the load.
