The Day of Father's
Updated: Jun 23, 2020
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Mine is becoming a father.
Fortunately, my father provided a pretty tremendous example of how to do it.
I've had the privilege of doing it 4 times.
First on our wedding day, and 3 times since then: most recently 2 days ago 6.19.20.
Pretty cool Father's Day gift if you ask me.
I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to my wife. Her willingness to undergo the suffering of child bearing has brought me the greatest joys of my life.
I'm the luckiest guy in the world.
I'm glad I wrote this yesterday morning.
The kids were in rare form yesterday...
Therefore, I didn't get around to posting this until the day after Father's Day.
Mia was a champ, and a tremendous helper, but Ace and Hope were about as difficult as they've ever been.
To compound the difficulty, my wallet decided to hide so I was unusually stressed and not in tremendous spirits by the time bedtime came around. Not to worry, the wallet has been found.
The kids will still be difficult, but I am better equipped to handle it with less anxiety coursing through my veins.
And I'm still the luckiest guy in the world.
