The stir crazy has finally started to kick in.
I can't be the only one who is feeling a bit like Phil Conners (Bill Murray) in Groundhog Day.
Not to worry, I won't be going anywhere near the bath tub with any small appliances.
I am, however, ready to get out of the cage.
Don't get me wrong, when this is all over, I will greatly miss the uninterrupted time with my wife and kids.
The idle hands are just starting to get to me.
I miss fellowship with the rest of the world. I miss being around the guys at the ball field. I miss being with my students in the weight room. I'm ready to get back to work.
I don't know what "back to work" is going to look like when the time comes. I'm not even sure where it is going to be or what I'll get to do, but I'm ready.
In the meantime, I have a project that ought to help. Tomorrow, I'm going to pull out my tools and fix the shelves in the garage that have been busted for way too long...ever since I may or may not have bumped them while parking the car last summer. Don't judge me, it's a tight squeeze.
That ought to keep the idle hands and fretful mind occupied for a time.
Keep on keeping on, my friends. You are not alone.
