I spent a couple of hours this morning getting caught up on the book review section of the website today, as I had fallen a bit behind. Playing catch up always takes longer than staying caught up, so I certainly recommend avoiding it when you can. However, sometimes thing are prioritized in a way that setting them aside until you have a couple of hours free is the best way to go.
The Eisenhower matrix, made popular by Stephen Covey in his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (on my book list and will be a part of my next order) helps categorize tasks in a way that may assist with time management.
The categories are as follows:
1. Urgent and Important
2. Important but Not Urgent
3. Urgent but Not Important
4. Not Important and Not Urgent
My book review page update falls into category number 2. So I strategized how to do it efficiently when the time presented itself, and now it is up to date. I'd love for you to check it out. It's missing the first 2 books that I read in 2019 (The Matheny Manifesto, and Legacy) because those two didn't get reviewed. I'll have to read them again and add them to it.
Check out the Book Review page HERE or by clicking the link at the top of the page anytime.
