I decided that today was as good a day as any to become a stock owner for the first time in my life.
I don't know much about the market, but it's clear that it's currently in a pretty deep hole, so I figured I'd get in on the ground floor.
It certainly would be neat to have a few more bucks to throw a round and build a few more bucks to throw around and build a more diverse portfolio. I guess that's why it's called building, like Rome, I imagine most good portfolios aren't built in a day, either. Someday.
Time to learn a bit more about how the market works while the price is right. Especially now that I'm on the hook.
Speaking of the price is right, while I've been toying with the idea of sticking my foot in the proverbial door, my sister referred me to a platform that allows you to buy and sell freely with out a commission charge. It's called Webull.
Her introduction is what cemented my decision to get started.
They even set you up with a free share or two.

If you are paying somebody a commission, this might make it worthwhile to change platforms.
And if you don't currently have any skin in the game, this might be the right time to get started without any additional charges. You can even use Webull to build an IRA.
