Peace and Chaos
Updated: Jun 10, 2020
On a park bench.
In the peace of a cool breeze.
The calming sound of passing traffic.
The birds sing.
The squirrels are curious.
But not tough enough to say hello.
So I sit in the silence and take it all in.
But there is something missing.
I love the chaos.
The chaos of children running every which way.
They are positively maddening much of the time.
But when it's quiet,
And you really sit and think about it.
You miss the noise.
You're thankful for the noise.
And you wouldn't have it any other way.
