5 AM Wake-up/Day 4/No Snooze
Sitting here staring at a blank page on one of those "don't feel like it" mornings, reminding myself that nobody cares whether I feel like it or not.
Didn't feel like getting up when the alarm went off...did it anyway. Didn't feel like doing push-ups, did them anyway.
I made a perfectly brewed pot of coffee in the French Press, that is my saving grace. It's already helping. What I really want to do is go climb back into bed...not happening.
Reading is going great. I've started on my book review for Legacy, and I've been enjoying the skim through. I'm definitely going to be giving it another genuine read. I also placed another book order, and 3 of the 4 books arrived yesterday, which was exciting:
and I am still waiting on my copy of Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss.
My "Books to Read" list is growing at a pace that I can't keep up with, which is exciting and slightly overwhelming at the same time.
Every time I hear or read about a book I think that I will enjoy/benefit from, I make a note of it in my phone on my Books to Read list.
When I finish a book, I make a note of it on my Books I've Read list. I've also started putting the date of completion next to it as well. That gives me another area of accountability, because now I know how long I've been babysitting my current book.
I've taken reading for granted for too many years. Now I'm putting some systems in place to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
PS I welcome any and all reading recommendations!
