I went to the park this morning with Sara and Ace and Hope. It was quite fun. Hope was wearing her new shoes, and she is super proud of them I might add. The park is right by the airport, and all of the kids at the park get excited every 3 minutes when a plane flies over. Ace even shared his toys with the other kids in the sandbox...that never happens. But that isn't what this is about.
As we were leaving, several busses full of special needs children parked and began filing into the park. I watched the caretakers to their jobs with patience and grace as the children were clearly testing the boundaries and being difficult.
There is a special place in heaven for those who work with and care for those with special needs.
Be thankful for the blessings and opportunities that you have in this life. I sure am, especially today. Some people weren't born so fortunate.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Psalm 73:26
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. - Colossians 3:15
But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Cor 15:57
