Day 61

Updated: Dec 13, 2019

4/28/19

Good enough, in my experience, is generally synonymous with half-assed.

It's a phrase often used to pass off mediocre work or effort as acceptable.

Good enough isn't good enough if excellence is the aim, and it should be.

Good enough also implies that it wouldn't take much work to make it better. It implies laziness, apathy, complacency, and a sub-par work ethic (sub-par...weird word if you're a golfer...sub-par would make you good, right?)

If good enough is your aspiration, you'll never get there.

Don't settle for good enough. Be great. Strive for excellence.

The pathway to excellence is riddled with obstacles, and it's not for everybody. If you are willing to do the work required in the pursuit of excellence, you might just come out on the other side to find that you are genuinely Good Enough.
