Halloween was a success.
Ace and Hope both had the time of their lives dressed up as Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Mia was a cat. Mr. Clean was a hit. And Sara wishes that Halloween Ace showed up every day. He was a great listener and a kind brother to both of his sisters. He put his terroristic toddler tendencies on hold for the night.
Hope is still singing "Trick or Treat, Smell my feet. Give me something good to eat..." She gets particularly excited at the end at the "I'll pull your underwear down" part (that is her translation).
She ran out of gas before her brother, but she had a great time nonetheless.
Mia was a good sport, going straight from her water polo victory (she has been called up to varsity for the playoffs).
Halloween with the kids is one of my favorite nights of the year. Yes, in part, because I get a share of their loot, but mostly because I get to share in their joy. I hope they always let me share in their joy. I certainly don't take these moments for granted.
