Today's lesson, be prepared.
It is the Boy Scout motto. And it is the title of a song from the Lion King sung by sinister Uncle Scar.
Here's an example.
If you are going somewhere that might get cold, pack some extra layers, just in case. If you end up not using them, no harm done. But, if you don't come prepared with layers, and the wind decides it's going to get a bit nippy, you are going to be uncomfortable for a while.
Fortunately for me, I was plenty prepared and very cozy. And so what if I might have rubbed it in a little bit to some of the guys complaining about the cold...it was all in good fun.
I'm sure there are a number of better examples I could use that might make me sound more intellectual...maybe I'll think of them later.
In the words of Alexander Graham Bell:
"Before anything else, preparation is the key to success."
In the words of me:
Nope...my brain has nothing smart to say...sorry for the false alarm.
Be prepared...and stay warm!
