I learned something this week.
People like baby announcements.
For the first time in my short blogging career, and hopefully not the last, a post has surpassed 100 readers. The previous high is Day 196. It has been read 60ish times. So that's kind of fun.
Clearly, the people that come across my posts prefer to read about my family over my thoughts. And that's okay. I really enjoy writing about both. It's a win-win.
In the long run, I really am doing this for me and my own personal development. My mission is to become a man who is better prepared to lead and serve others, starting with my family. Sharing publicly is my way to be accountable to myself.
If I had zero readers, I feel like the impact this project has had on me would be very much the same. However, I do enjoy some of the conversations that have been initiated as a result of my writing: particularly the conversations with people that I didn't even know were following along.
Thank you for the love and support. It gives me an additional reason to keep going.
I'll leave you with this.

I'll tell you one thing you can add to your life that could improve it. Sign up for Clear's newsletter (click the link above). I especially look forward to Thursday mornings when it arrives in my inbox. It truly might live up to its claim to contain "The most wisdom per word of any newsletter on the web."
