For most of my life, I have had a terrible addiction. It's called the snooze button (such a beautiful thing, isn't is?). Mornings are not my thing (I inherited that from my mother, who could often be found wearing a shirt that read, "Just because I'm up doesn't mean I'm awake."
My sleep rhythms would be a whole lot happier if bedtime was 2 or 3am and wake up time was 10am and the work day started at noon. It's not so much about the duration of sleep. 10pm-6am is 8 hours, and never feels enough. 3am-10am, I'm up and ready to rock and roll.
It's time for me to be a big boy. It's time to break the habit, be more consistent and intentional with my sleeping patters. Hopefully my body decides to accept it and cooperate. It's time to get my butt out of bed and get my day started the first time the alarm goes off. It's time for consistently productive mornings.
