Day 215

Updated: Sep 30, 2019

At church this morning, the pastor made a point that really stuck with me.

There is no such day as "Someday."

Someday never comes.

The time for action is now.

The message included the following plans of action:

1. Keep your purpose in sight.

2. Cultivate and maintain a sense of urgency.

3. Declutter and reprioritize your life.

This message applies across the board in life: to anything that you claim that you'll get to "someday."

"I'll do it someday," is a cop out. Whether you are referring to strengthening your faith or quitting smoking or any number of a hundred other things, the idea that you'll do it "someday" is a fantasy that will never come to fruition until you decide to take action.

"Someday" is procrastination, and it's a way of admitting that you want something, but you either don't want it bad enough or you don't think it is important enough or you are too scared to do the work required to achieve it.

There is no such day as Someday.

The time for action is now.

Someday never comes.

Get after it.

"I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:14
