Today, I'm going to clean out my car...and keep it that way. I've done a much better job about staying tidier in most of the other areas of my life, but the inside of my car is an embarrassing collection of both junk and goodies that I haven't cleaned out in months...and by months, I guess I mean years (though I did recently take out all of the clothes and hats so at least it isn't serving as my 2nd closet anymore). It's one of the few things that I haven't caught up on since starting my Live Enamored journey 145 days ago.
After today, the 2-minute-rule will be applicable in my car as well. I've referenced numerous times, but for those unfamiliar, productivity expert, David Allen's 2-minute-rule dictates that if you can get it done in 2 minutes or less, you must do it now.
Add to that the well known proverb attributed to Benjamin Franklin that I referenced a couple of days ago (143), don't put off until tomorrow that which you can get done today.
Time to get it done today...I've put it off for enough tomorrows.
