Day 142

Performance matters. Production matters. Results matter.

Many will tell you to focus on the process, and that is all well and good.

However, if your process isn't helping you put together a body of work that consists of high performance, productivity, and concrete proof of positive results, your process is no good and continuing to focus on it will continue to get you nowhere.

The process is important, undoubtedly, but your process is useless if it doesn't result in productive performance. A process must be constantly reassessed in order to be effective.

Don't blindly follow anybody's process just because you are told to. Do your homework. Make sure it works.

The world treats winners differently than they treat losers. Losers have a process too. Nobody studies the processes of losers, because losing isn't the goal. Failure isn't the goal.

Both losing and failure are facts of life that will happen to the best of us from time to time. They don't have to be a way of life.

Evaluate your process often. Make sure your process yields the desired results.

Winning is hard. Getting to the top is hard. Staying on top is harder.

Find out what works and do it.

Then make it better.

Then make it better.

Then make it better.

Then make get it, right?

If you don't, I can't help you.
