Super busy day. Weight training class, which clearly means bench press and pull-up day for the instructor (Thursday is push-ups and squats). I intend to complete 20 pull-ups consecutively, 100 push-ups consecutively, and bench press 315 pounds. I keep squats at a moderate weight because I value walking, and if I push the envelope, it pushes back harder. I gave up dead lifts all together for that reason as well.
I got sidetracked. Super busy day. I spent the next couple of hours firing off emails responding to texts, answering calls. Sara, Ace, and Hope came to visit me at work before we left for today's game. We lost. I was frustrated.
Coming home at the end of the day is one of my favorite things. My wife is happy to see me...most of the time...and the toddlers come running. Mia, well, she's 13, you can figure that one out. I love My People. It is most surely an enamored love.
After spending a couple of hours tolerating the season finale of the Bachelor (seriously people? I don't get it...), while sitting on the couch laughing with my wife (while I rave about how the Bachelor is so wonderful and great and fulfilling and must bring value to the lives of so many people...), all I was thinking about was loving My People, all of my people.
With the frustration from today's loss gone, my mind is teeming with different ways I can better love my people. All while I make sure to make the time to also love My People at home.
Love Your People, and love your people, too.
"And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love."
