5:00 AM Wake-up
Mia had her 8th grade promotion yesterday. We officially have a high school aged young lady in the house.
I tell my wife often that we aren't old. She doesn't believe me, even though it's true. Mia didn't help my case yesterday.
One of her friends burned her a CD as a gift, and when she got in the car, she asked, "what do I do with this?" Then she was mind boggled upon finding out that we could listen to it in the car.
While clearly this was a combination of a profound lack of awareness and archaic technology, I'm really glad her friend didn't give her a cassette tape. Her head might have exploded.
I wonder what they are going to come up with next. If trends continue, these computers we carry around in our pockets are going to be out of style and less than practical before too long. Any ideas as to what they will create to take their place?
Pay attention to the world around us. It's constantly changing. Keep up, or you're going to get left behind.
