A New Streak
Last Thursday evening, after returning from a fishing trip, I made the 493rd consecutive entry in my daily journey. On Friday morning, we headed out on a 4th of July weekend excursion. I decided that this little family vacation was as good a time as any to give my daily writing habit a vacation of it's own.
Here is to the start of a new streak.
The time with family was a much needed escape for all of us. Human's of all ages need connection with other humans. We aren't designed to be locked away from human interaction for months on end. Even in prison, that kind of containment is considered punishment.
We swam in the pool and rode bicycles. My brother-in-law took me to a car show.
We celebrated Mia's birthday again with aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents. We celebrated my Grandpa's birthday. He gets to share his birthday with America. That is neat.
Mia got several driving lessons (fun...terrifying...not exactly legal...and she did great).
Now we're back home where we will begin to pack up the townhouse and get ready to migrate.
